# Referrals

> Referral links, how referral credit is earned, how much is earned and how it is redeemed as Nexus plan time.

Every constant-k account has a referral link. A paid sign-up through that link earns the referrer Nexus plan time.

## Referral link

The click attaches to an account when the visitor signs up or logs in within the 30 days. A visitor who is already logged in is attached at the moment of the click.

## Earning conditions

Credit is earned when all of these are true:

* The referred account pays for an Operator, Blade Runner or Nexus plan, by card or by crypto.
* The payment is the referred account's first paid subscription. A free trial that converts to a paid plan counts as the first payment.
* The referred account is not the referrer's own account.
* The referred account has not earned credit for any referrer before.

No credit is earned for:

Credit is added to the referrer's balance when the payment is received and the plan activates. The **Referral History** table on the My Account page lists each credit.

## Credit amount

Credit is Nexus plan time, in days:

* The calculation uses list prices on the day of the payment, from [Plans and limits](https://docs.constant-k.com/get-started/plans-and-limits/).
* Discounts, coupons, Rewards Codes and Discount Codes used by the referred account do not reduce the credit.
* Balances under 1 day are shown in hours.

## Redemption

The **Redeem** button in the **Referral Nexus Credit** section converts the whole balance into Nexus plan time. Partial redemption is not available. Redeemed time does not renew.

| Card Nexus plan with auto-renewal on                    | Redemption is blocked. After auto-renewal is turned off in **Manage Stripe**, the credit can be redeemed and starts when the current paid period ends |

Card plans are not refunded, paused or extended by a redemption.
